Get your community ready for its close-up.

Get-ready checklist for a FrameFocus Media 55+ community shoot: plan-ahead, outside and inside steps, what we do and what we don't, and the pet rule

Nobody moves across the country for a floor plan. They move for pickleball in the morning, the pool at noon and music on the square at night. The communities that show that life win the relocation, and we photograph it every week from our base on the doorstep of The Villages. Whether your community is in The Villages, Wildwood or Ocala, being ready for the shoot lets us capture its amenities clean and lit and its residents doing what they love.

Be ready the day before.

Have the amenities clean, lit and staged at least the day before the shoot. A campus has many spaces and many people, and a day of margin lets staff, residents and the golf course all know the plan.

A community contact.

Name one person who will be with us or reachable on the day. That person unlocks doors, knows which spaces are in use and can answer residents' questions.

Outside: pools, courts and frontage.

Clean the pools, courts and patios. Align pool chairs and loungers, open the umbrellas and set the cushions. Sweep the walks, pull weeds, trim and clear leaves. Move cars away from the key frontage, including staff cars in front of the clubhouse. Put garbage cans, hoses and carts out of sight.

Inside: clubhouses and model homes.

Turn on every light in each space. Turn ceiling fans off and leave their lights on. Replace dead bulbs and match bulb colors. Open the blinds. Clear counters, front desks and bulletin boards of loose papers, and hide trash cans and cleaning carts. Model homes and sales centers follow the full listing rules: surfaces cleared, towels and small rugs removed, beds made, cords hidden.

Lifestyle and consent.

Lifestyle shots need life. Share your activity calendar and schedule the shoot around events residents enjoy: a pickleball round, a water aerobics class, a social hour on the patio. Any resident who appears on camera needs to give written consent before the shoot, and we coordinate releases through your marketing team. Anyone who would rather not be photographed can step out of the area we are shooting. For how lifestyle footage turns into marketing, see marketing 55+ communities with lifestyle film.

Golf course aerials.

Golf course and amenity aerials show the footprint buyers are moving for. Coordinate with the course in advance so we fly at a time that works for play and maintenance. Aerials are flown by an FAA Part 107 certified, insured pilot. We check the airspace before any flight, and flights depend on wind and weather.

What we do, and what we don't.

We adjust the lighting in each amenity space, time the aerials with the golf course, and capture the activities you schedule. We do not photograph or film residents without written consent. We do not book tee times or course access, so the coordination with the course comes from your side. We do not rearrange amenity furniture, and cleaning and staging are finished by your team before we arrive. We also do not edit out people or signs as part of the standard edit, so ask us before the shoot if something needs to go.

Pets.

Pets in model homes or sales centers should be crated or in a closed room before we arrive. If one is loose and no one can secure it, we reschedule that space.

What happens on shoot day.

We work area by area, timed to the light and to your events. Staff and residents who are not part of a shot carry on as usual, out of frame. Every exterior carries our blue skies guarantee. Florida weather happens, and if the forecast turns, we reschedule at no charge.

After the shoot.

Your photos, aerials and any lifestyle video arrive in one gallery, organized for your website, brochures and campaigns.
