Get your business ready for its close-up.

Get-ready checklist for a FrameFocus Media brand and business content session: your space and your team, what we do and what we don't, and the pet rule

Your customers meet your business online before they walk in. A café in Spanish Springs in The Villages, a practice in Leesburg or a shop in Ocala is judged first by its photos, and stock images and phone snapshots quietly cost trust. A brand session fixes that, and the prep below makes sure it captures your business as it really is.

Decide what to show.

Make a short list of what matters most. Usually that is three things: your products or services, your team and your space. Then think about where the images will live: your website, your Google profile, menus, social feeds and ads. We plan the shot list around that list, so the library you receive maps to the marketing you actually do.

Be ready the day before.

Have the space, products and people ready at least the day before. A brand session runs on a set clock, 60 or 120 minutes, and every minute spent hunting for a product or waiting on a team member is a minute not shooting.

Your space.

Clean the windows and signage, inside and out. Sweep or mop and dust. Clear counters and desks of paperwork and personal clutter, and hide trash cans and visible cords. Turn on every light, including display and accent lighting.

Choose a quieter time, such as before opening, after close or a slow mid-morning. Good daylight helps, and Central Florida afternoons can bring storms.

Your team.

Confirm who will be on camera and make sure they are available. Ask everyone to wear solid colors, since busy patterns and fine stripes distract. Skip clothing with other brands' logos. If you have branded shirts or aprons, wear them. One outfit change per person gives us variety.

Your products.

Set aside clean samples, packaging and anything you want shown in detail. For restaurants, plan the dishes in advance so the kitchen can plate them during the session. Pick your top sellers and the items you most want to sell.

Customers and consent.

If customers will appear in the photos, anyone recognizable needs to give consent. The simplest approach is to have regulars, friends or staff stand in, with their permission in writing.

What we do, and what we don't.

We plan the shot list with you, direct poses and angles so your team looks natural, and adjust the lighting for each setup. We do not style hair, makeup or wardrobe, so your team arrives camera-ready. We do not arrange or restock products, so displays and shelves should be set the way you want them seen. We do not photograph customers without consent, and we do not move heavy fixtures. We also do not edit out signs or logos as part of the standard edit, so ask us before the session if something needs to go.

Pets.

If a shop or office pet is part of your brand, tell us and we will plan for it. Otherwise, pets should be crated or in a closed room before we arrive.

What happens on shoot day.

We start with a short walk-through, then work area by area: the space, the products, then the team at work. Anyone not in a shot can carry on as normal, just out of frame. Exterior shots carry our blue skies guarantee. Florida weather happens, and if the forecast turns we reschedule at no charge.

After the shoot.

Your images arrive in a branded gallery, ready for your website, profiles and feeds. If you want content every month, our monthly content retainers turn one good session into a steady habit. If your face or voice is part of the brand, an agent or staff intro video can be recorded in the same session. Read why Villages-area businesses win with monthly content to see how that works.
