Get your site ready for the shoot.

Get-ready checklist for a FrameFocus Media construction shoot: on-site and model home steps, what we do and what we don't, and the pet rule

Across Central Florida, from new neighborhoods in Wildwood and The Villages to commercial sites around Ocala, progress media does two jobs. During the build it keeps lenders, investors, owners and the county informed with dated, consistent documentation. After the build it becomes your marketing library. Both go better when the site is ready for us, and on a working job site that comes down to access, safety and a little housekeeping.

Be ready the day before.

Send us everything we need to get in and work safely at least the day before the shoot. A missed gate code or an unknown safety rule costs light, and on a progress schedule the light matters.

Access and a site contact.

Share the gate code, the lockbox, where to park and which entrance to use. Name one site contact who will be reachable on the day, ideally the superintendent or someone who knows what is happening on site that morning.

Safety and the drone.

Tell us your safety rules and PPE requirements ahead of time, whether that is hard hats, vests, boots or a check-in at the trailer. We follow your rules on your site.

Our drone aerials are flown by an FAA Part 107 certified, insured pilot. We check the airspace before every flight, and flights depend on wind and weather. Let your crews and subcontractors know a drone will be overhead and roughly when. We fly to keep crews, equipment and neighbors clear.

Tidy what you safely can.

A site will never look finished mid-build, and it does not need to. What reads well in photos is order. Park equipment in a tidy row or out of the main view. Stack materials neatly. Clear loose debris, wrappers and scrap where it is safe. Close the doors on portable toilets and dumpster enclosures. Those few minutes make the aerials look like a managed project.

Model homes follow the home rules.

A model home is shot like a listing. Outside, park vehicles on the street, including staff cars and golf carts, put garbage cans away, sweep the walks, weed, mow and trim. Inside, turn on every light, turn ceiling fans off with their lights on, replace dead bulbs and match bulb colors. Take off builder tags and window stickers, clear sales flyers and clutter from the counters, hide trash cans and cords, and open the blinds. Every exterior carries our blue skies guarantee.

What we do, and what we don't.

We follow your site's safety and PPE rules and plan each drone flight around your crews. On progress visits we shoot matching angles every time, so the before and after comparisons line up cleanly. In model homes we set the blinds and move small items to make each room photo ready. We do not enter an active work zone without your site contact, and we do not move equipment or materials. We do not fly over crews working below. Clearing debris and cleanup stay with your team. We also do not edit out equipment as part of the standard edit, so ask us before the shoot if something cannot move.

Pets.

Site dogs, and any pets in a model home, should be secured before we arrive. If one is loose and no one can secure it, we have to reschedule.

Progress visits are scheduled ahead.

We set visit dates in advance and time them to your phases, so each visit captures a milestone from consistent angles. If a phase moves, tell us early and we move the visit with it. Our construction progress photography guide covers how builders use each visit, and a construction time-lapse turns those matching angles into one progress film.

What happens on shoot day.

We work area by area, ground first or air first depending on the light and the crews. Your contact helps us avoid active work zones. Afternoon storms build quickly over Lake, Sumter and Marion counties, so we watch the forecast. If it turns, we reschedule at no charge.

After the shoot.

Your photos, aerials and any video arrive in one gallery, organized by visit date so the build tells its own story.
